Recorded in 2018 at Lechehouse Studios in Austin, Tx by Grammy Award winning musician Beto Martinez (Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Money Chicha). "Remember" is a collection of songs Nick Diaz wrote upon returning from a 2 week trip to India. Diaz and Martinez met the previous year at a SXSW event in 2017 where Buenos Diaz played before Grupo Fantasma at Empire Control Room. Reconnecting a few months later at The Continental Gallery where Beto's group Money Chicha was holding down a Monday Night residency, the two quickly jumped into a conversation about working together. Basic tracks were recorded live to a Tascam 388 1/4" tape machine with minimal overdubs taking place in the box on Protools with Blackler Mastering putting the finishing touches on in Brooklyn, NY. The lead single "Beautiful" addresses heroin addiction and sobriety after losing a friend to a lifelong battle with the opiate this past year during quarantine.
Buenos Diaz continues tradition working with some of Austin's most in demand players including:

A tornado’s on its way
The cars blowing side to side
I’ve left so much behind in this world
to make this head work right
While trying to catch the black butterfly
Theres a mighty long stretch of road behind me
Down around the Mississippi
Across Alabama
I think that’s where I fell in love with Louisiana
A tornado’s on its way
The cars blowing side to side
I’ve left so much behind in this world
To make this head work right
Trying to catch the black butterfly
But things moved too fast
I couldn’t keep it on the road I crashed
I was beginning to let go
All the things I'd worked hard for
And had already caught
There were no guardrails
No handrails
And that's where I found
The smallest piece of brilliance
